This gleaming gold-toned alloy of copper and zinc starts its life as bold as only brass can be – shiny and yellow – and, left to its own devices and the elements around it, will oxidise and mellow to a soft warm brown patina. Up to you whether to (occasionaly) polish and wash back to a shine, or to enjoy the unique weathered colourings that will naturally occur on this botanically focused piece.
