Description:
If every object tells a story, a cabinet in which to display a collection of objects contains a treasure trove of tales to tell. The 'Cabinet of Curiosity' is a collaboration for Stellar Works with design house Neri & Hu that aims to satisfy the curious collector in all of us – and happens to be Tony (our MD's) favourite piece of furniture!
This is a tall, square cornered, wooden cabinet that can be positioned anywhere  –  with glass doors to front and back, mesh covered sides, and resting on a metal trolley inspired by 'scenes from a ceramic factory' (before the pottery is fired), it is as comfortable as a centrepiece as it is moving freely around a room.
The pottery and its furnace carries with it a metaphor of transformation, and the cabinet carries in it the idea of the Day True Home travails and travels of life, with all associated pains and pleasures, to represent the elements that form us.
You can use this cabinet to keep your secrets, or to share them with others – either way, this is a conversation piece, a catalyst for a bigger story, and a beautiful object in which to move and display some beautiful or moving objects of your own choosing.
