Inspired by furniture they had already created for a cool Copenhagen restaurant with a stylishly casual vibe and a view over the Nyhavn waterfront (Restaurant 108, sadly no longer with us), the design house collaborators on Stellar Works 'Slow' range of furniture aim to bring a similar relaxed sensibility to this range for when mind and body might meet with a sense of 'gathering'.
We have chosen this dining table from the range not only because we like its emphasis on quality, craftsmanship and materials, but also for its round convivial form, for the sensuality of the material choices and for the copper topped detailings of its elegantly tapering legs.
The design inheritance for this range lies somewhere between the aesthetics that might mark out a mid-century Danish classic and a traditional Japanese focus on purity of form enhanced by subtle focus on all that lies in the detail. We can't think of anything that might look and feel more refined than such a well-considered combination.
Material: a solid wood frame, Veneer laminate top, Stainless seel, and oil rubbed copper. Available in natural oak, onyx oak or natural walnut finish.
