But to leave it at that, would be an injustice to this multi-purpose pan, perfect for those occasions where you need to 'go large', and suited to all kinds of boiling, par-boiling, poaching and gentle stock-style simmering.
This pot comes complete with a pair of wooden tongs, designed to rest perfectly on the specially notched lip of the pan that serves double duty – first, when in position, to stop the pasta water getting carried away and boiling over, and second, to help with the lifting and twisting involved in serving spaghetti with proper Italian high stylings.
